Retiree Network Events Schedule — May 2016

Here are the PCC Retiree Network events scheduled in May:

Friday, May 6th, PCC Spring Golf Classic:  Hopefully you received an emailed invitation for this event.  If not, click here for the details.

Wednesday, May 11th, 1:00 p.m.  Happy Lunch:  Since our recent lunches have been held in NE, SE and downtown, we decided that this month we will meet for lunch on the west side.  We selected the Café Mingo West at the Beaverton Round (12600 Cresent Street, Beaverton just off Hall Blvd) for this month.  We’ll meet there for lunch at 1:00 p.m.

Friday, May 13th, 2016, 37th Annual Retirement Dinner:  No host bar and hors d’oeuvers opens at 4:30 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m.  Sylvania Campus Cafeteria.

Thursday, May 19th, Portland Art Museum, Art & Conversation:  May’s topic will be on the PAM Modern and Contemporary art collection.  Sara Krajewski, Robert and Mercedes Eichholz Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art will be the presenter. Coffee at 9:15 a.m.; lecture at 10:15 a.m. This series is free for adults 62 and over.

Wednesday, May 25th, Noon, Annual Founder’s Week Retiree Luncheon hosted by the PCC Foundation, Rock Creek Campus Event Center (Section C).  The lunch program will include a student speaker and welcome from the campus president. (Additional details, including a tour of new campus facilities are being finalized).  RSVP required, please email or call 971-722-4382.

Pinot & Prose Book Club.   Due to the Retiree Luncheon occurring on our regular monthly meeting date, there will be no May book club meeting.  Our next discussion session will be Wednesday, June 22, 11:30 a.m. at Walter Mitty’s Restaurant.  Our June selection is “American Gods” by Neil Gaiman.

Wednesday, May 25th, May Business Meeting will be held following the Retiree Luncheon at PCC’s Rock Creek Campus.

Sunday, June 12th, Zero Prostate Cancer walk.  Retiree Network is forming a team to participate in the 1k riverfront walk from Willamette Park to Downtown Portland.  For more information contact Gary Lesniak at
